Valentine's Day falling on a Wednesday, it was hard to make big
plans after a long day at work. Traffic across both the Dumbarton and the
San Mateo was thick. Since we were hungry, it made sense to eat first instead
of getting stuck in traffic. We decided on the Hobees in Belmont. Wednesday
was Kid's Day at Hobees where you get one free kid's meal for evey paid
adult, so there were lots of kids at Hobees. Oh joy! It is a good thing
that we have great restraint from blatant Public Displays of Affection
from me being Chinese and all.
Randy had the Salmon Special and I had the Chicken Piccata. The food
was good but not great. The company was unbeatable (at least at my table)!
In the next table, a woman sat down and started chewing her food noisily.
After about 15 minutes of that, we thought sitting in traffic might be
better, since after all, I will have the same wonderful company in the
car and better tunes! Fourteen Valentine's Days together! Sigh......
