As Ting was helping out
at the Cal Wushu Tournament, I was free for the afternoon, so I made last-minute
plans to see Marcus Roberts perform a solo set at the Florence Gould Theatre
at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.
As you can see from the landscape photos, it was yet another glorious spring
day! What with the weather, it was kind of hard to head indoors for the show,
but Marcus Roberts showered us with aural wonders, delivering two captivating
sets of music.
Following the show it was time for yardwork at home, where I was alert enough
later on to capture the eye of the sun just as it began to set the trees
aflame.
